Directions (1 to 5): Study the following Pie-chart and answer the questions given below:

Preferences of students for six beverages A, B, C, D, E and F in terms of degrees of angle in the pie-chart. Total No. of students = 6800

1. What is the difference between the total number of students who prefer beverage A and C together and the total number of students who prefer beverage D and F together?

Sol: Difference between their degrees = 144 – 93.6 = 50.4

∴ No of students

=(50.4/360)  ×6800 = 952

Answers : 3

 

2. What is the ratio of the number of students who prefer beverage F to the number of students who prefer beverage A?

1) 3 : 11 2) 3 : 13 3) 6 : 11 4) 5 : 11 5) None of these

Sol: Ratio = 21.6 : 79.2 = 3 : 11

Ans: 1

Sol: Difference between no. of passengers in Train-C and Train-A = 816 – 576 = 240

Sol: Total passengers in Train-D, E and F = 1008 + 912 + 1056 = 2976
